跨媒体艺术实验教学中心，面向媒体艺术领域的技术研发与应用拓展，强调创作实践中的实验性和前沿性以及多学科跨界探索的可能，致力于将艺术与电子科技、数码媒体、综合材料等专业领域进行交叉融合，丰富创作手段、拓展学科边界。
中心下设九个实验室，主要涵盖四个媒体艺术实验领域：数字媒介的虚拟与交互（包含：互动艺术实验室、数字图形实验室、虚拟感官实验室）、综合材料的应用与拓展（包含：动力装置实验室、木工手作实验室）、影音现场的互动与展演（包含：声音艺术实验室、多媒体展演实验室）、实验影像的拍摄与制作（包含：数字暗房实验室、胶片摄影实验室）。

SIMA Artistic Experimental Teaching Center
SIMA Artistic Experimental Teaching Center is a facility facing the research and development of media art, emphasizing on the experimentalism and theoretical forefront in creation practices as well as the possibility of interdisciplinary exploration. It aims to merge the fields of art with electronic technology, digital media and integrated materials, enriching the methods of creation and expanding the borders of such fields. The center has nine subordinate laboratories, covering four fields of experimental media art: the virtuality and interaction of digital media (Interactive Art Lab, Digital Graphics Lab, Virtual Sensory Lab), application and development of integrated materials (Power Plant Lab, Carpentry and Handcrafting Lab), interaction and exhibition of video and audio scenography (Audio Art Lab, Multimedia Scenography Lab) as well as the filming and production of experimental images (Digital Darkroom Lab, Monochrome Dark Room Lab).
