基于进一步推进跨媒体艺术专业学科建设以及完善人才培养机制的需求,跨媒体艺术学院在目前三个系(实验艺术系、开放媒体系、媒介展演系)的基础上,正式新辟自由艺术专业方向,增设自由艺术工作室,自2020年起,全面展开本科教学。工作室教师由活跃于当下艺术生态中的艺术家、策展人、学者共同组成。

科系简介:

自由艺术工作室,关注行进中的艺术现象和行业前沿规则,积极参与社会性的艺术对话。我们以自由艺术为前提,激发感受力与创造力,在无限表达方式与技术媒介成为可能的今天,珍视自由给予个体的有限选择和态度;在教学中我们强调,以个体在艺术实践中的切身局限为中介,开放艺术观点,尊重个体差异,引导自由选择,以真实的艺术态度和自由的感知出入艺术与媒体的边界。

育人目标:

自由艺术工作室强调想象力的先行,培养个体独立的判断与态度以及语言系统的建立;鼓励个体或团体及时走入当下艺术现场,把握艺术在质疑与答案之间,现实与想象之间,生活与理想之间的呈现,成为在当下艺术领域获得持续发声的自主个体。

专业特色:

鉴于艺术日趋专业化,教育过于成果化的导向,自由艺术工作室的课程设计强调学生主体意识的建构,问题意识和试错精神的培养;我们的教学以创作为核心,以有限为前提,以媒介为发端,以问题为导向,以展览为呈现等“游戏”规则的建构,贯穿始终,并期待融超艺术规则的意外和创造。

Considering the requirement of further promoting discipline construction of intermedia art specialty and perfecting the talent cultivation mechanism, the School of Intermedia Art has formally set the Literal Arts specialty and built the Literal Arts Studio based on three existing departments (Department of Experimental Art, Department of Open Media and Department of Medium Performance) since 2020 to carry out undergraduate education comprehensively. Wherein the studio teachers are composed of artists, exhibition planners and scholars who are active in the current artistic ecology.

Department introduction:

The Literal Arts Studio focuses on the on-going artistic phenomenon and forefront rules, participates in social art conversations positively. We take liberal arts as premise to stimulate perception and creativity, value the limited choices and attitude endowed by freedom in the current era of unlimited expression modes and technology media becoming possible; in view of teaching, we take individual limitations in artistic practices as media to embrace different artistic views, respect individual difference, guide free choice, get access to the boundary between art and media with true artistic attitude and free perception.

Education objective:

The literal Arts Studio stresses imagination first, cultivates independent judgement and opinion of individuals and establishes the language system; encourages individuals or groups to enter the current art scene and master the artistic presentations between question and answer, reality and imagination, life and ideal thus to become the independent individuals who can make personal statement continuously in the current field of art.

Specialty characteristics:

In view of the increasingly-specialized art and achievement-orientated education, the curriculum design of the Literal Arts Studio stresses the cultivation of students’ subject consciousness, problem consciousness and spirit of “trial and error”; The teaching work centers on creation, bases on limitation, starts from media, persists in problem-orientation and adopts the mode of exhibition to create “game” rules and pursue extra surprises and creations out of artistic rules.
